The Cleveland Browns signed Chicago Bears cornerback Thomas Graham Jr. off of the practice squad Tuesday in a move that ends the tenure of what appeared to be a 2021 day-three draft “hit” by former general manager Ryan Pace.
Graham was drafted by the Bears in the sixth round of last year’s draft and emerged as a surprise contributor over the final month of the 2021 season. It was assumed he’d begin 2022 as a starter alongside Jaylon Johnson, but the selection of Kyler Gordon in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft and a lingering injury during training camp forced Graham to the practice squad. Now, he’s a Brown.
Browns moves official: CB Thomas Graham signed off the Bears PS and WR Chester Rogers signed to the PS. Presumably, Rogers is the next to get a tryout of some sorts at punt returner.
