Which position group is the strongest on the Chicago Bears roster? (2022 Season)

Sports betting isn’t for everyone. Sometimes, you don’t think your team is going to win, and you don’t want to bet against them. Sometimes, you don’t have a good read on the game, so you don’t want to bet without confidence. Other times, you just don’t like betting at all.

If you fit in one of the first two categories, prop bets might just be the play for you. Let’s take a look at a few prop bets to key on for Sunday Night Football in Green Bay.

Khalil Herbert over 23.5 rushing yards (-115)

Herbert played 17 snaps last Sunday against San Francisco and was given the ball on over half of those plays. He managed 45 yards on 9 carries against a solid 49ers front. Don’t let the national media convince you the Bears have a running back controversy but do expect Herbert to continue as a weapon in this offense. Herbert won’t average five yards a carry every week. His speed and hard running style will, however, allow him to be successful against any defense. Expect a similar workload for Herbert in Week 2, and he should breeze past this number once again.

Aaron Rodger’s longest completion over 36.5 yards (-115)

Rodgers should have had a 75-yard touchdown pass to Christian Watson in the first quarter of last week’s game in Minnesota. Instead, Watson let the pass slip through his hands, setting the tone for a poor Packers loss. Don’t expect Watson to give the Bears this same gift. Aaron Rodgers hates the Bears. He has said on multiple occasions that he tries harder against them. While the Bears’ secondary showed some promise last week, a lot of their success was weather-aided. Lambeau Field is forecasted to be a balmy 76 degrees at game time with no precipitation in sight. Rodgers will have perfect conditions to sling the pigskin. I expect the Bears to keep most of the game in front of them, but Rodgers will once again find one of his receivers for a big gain.

Cairo Santos over 1.5 PAT Made (+110)

Santos struggled in the Soldier Field slop going only 1/3 on PAT last week. With the weather expected to be much better in Green Bay on Sunday night, there is no reason to think he won’t bounce back. Santos, though, is the least important player when it comes to the success of this bet. This bet comes down to whether or not the Bears’ offense can find the end zone. The new offense showed creativity, resilience, and all-around improvement in their Week 1 victory. This new play-calling style paired with rivalry week intensity should lead to more points on the board. The Packers’ defense lost star linebacker Za’Darius Smith this offseason. The Bears can exploit his absence while the Packers figure out their identity. Don’t be surprised to see Santos finishing a few drives at Lambeau Field.
