There’s much to be excited about for Chicago Bears fans Thursday night. Justin Fields has a chance at a breakout game in front of a national audience, the Bears will wear orange helmets for the first time in franchise history, and their opponent, the Washington Commanders, will provide Matt Eberflus with an excellent opportunity for his third win as a head coach.
The Commanders have lost four-straight games and will field an injured Carson Wentz at quarterback. And while Washington’s defense is a competent group, the Bears are simply the better team.
Experts appear to agree, too. According to NFL Pick Watch, 61% of experts picked the Bears to win the game. The oddsmakers at Vegas seem to think otherwise, though.
Chicago is getting one point (+1) at the time of this post via BetMGM. With home teams usually earning a three-point edge, the Bears being an underdog of any kind is somewhat surprising.
Kickoff between the Bears and Commanders is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. EST (7:15 p.m. CST) from Soldier Field in Chicago.
