2022 Season
Here’s where the Bears rank in NFL Power Rankings at their Bye week
The Chicago Bears are among the worst teams in the NFL in the latest round of Power Rankings from NFL.com, ESPN, and others …
The Chicago Bears aren’t having a great season. They’re 3-10. Bears fans get it, they aren’t expecting much from the rest of the regular season and hope Chicago stays injury-free as the 2023 offseason quickly approaches.
But it’s still fun to peek at NFL Power Rankings to see how the Bears are viewed by those charged with the excruciating weekly task of putting order to a chaotic league.
NFL.com has the Bears ranked 28th. USA Today? 23rd. ESPN and Yahoo! are pretty brutal, they have Chicago 30th.
The point? The Bears are viewed as one of the worst teams in the NFL. Perhaps, it’s warranted. They’ve had plenty of opportunities to pull off upset wins late in games, but their inability to finish has plagued the season’s last two months.

But does it matter? The 2022 season began with one simple goal: Justin Fields’ development. That goal has been accomplished beyond anyone’s wildest expectations.
Fields is the most exciting quarterback in the NFL right now. Sure, it’s mostly because of his record-setting rushing ability, but he proved in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers that his passing game isn’t far behind.
It’ll be a tough final four games for Chicago Bears fans to get through. But then the real fun begins in free agency — when the Bears will have the most money to spend — and the 2023 NFL Draft when Chicago has what’s trending to be a top-five pick.
