Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson shared an update on his foot injury on Twitter Friday, and it was a good one. He tweeted that surgery isn’t needed. Jackson has been out since Week 12’s loss to the New York Jets.
No surgery needed God is Good??

This is terrific news for the Chicago Bears and a sign that one of their best defenders should be able to come back fully healthy in 2023.
Eddie Jackson was having a banner year following back-to-back lackluster seasons, tallying four interceptions and two forced fumbles in eleven games to go along with 59 tackles. The addition of rookie strong safety Jaquan Brisker and his physical style proved to be the perfect complementary piece to Jackson, allowing the six-year veteran to return to his ball-hawking ways.
Many Bears fans hope to see Jackson remain in Chicago for years to come, and avoiding a major injury certainly helps.
