Bryce Young’s NFL Combine measurement increases trade value for No. 1 pick
The value of the Chicago Bears’ No. 1 overall pick just went way up with QB Bryce Young’s weigh-in.
The Chicago Bears front office had to be unleashing some fist pumps after Alabama QB Bryce Young’s NFL Combine measurements were announced.
The presumptive top quarterback prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft possesses top-shelf traits, but concerns over his size had some analysts speculating whether a team would invest the first overall pick on him.
And while he didn’t measure in like a giant Saturday, he did check some minimum requirements:
Alabama QB Bryce Young measurements at the Combine:
Height: 5-10 and 1/8th of an inch
Weight: 204 pounds
Hands: 9 and 3/4ths of an inch— Field Yates (@FieldYates) March 4, 2023
To put Bryce Young’s weigh-in into perspective, he’s the same height and three pound lighter than Kyler Murray.
With Young’s size concerns likely out of the way, the value of the Chicago Bears’ No. 1 pick goes way up. The Texans, Colts, Falcons and Panthers are rumored to be interested in trading up, and that was before Bryce Young’s physical profile changed.
