Bears sign FB Khari Blasingame to two-year contract extension (Free Agency)

The Chicago Bears have agreed to a two-year contract extension with fullback Khari Blasingame, according to a tweet shared by his agents Tuesday night.

Blasingame appeared in 16 games for the Bears last season with six starts. He didn’t have any touches on offense but proved to be an extremely valuable special teams player, earning an 89.2 grade on 215 special teams snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

Khari Blasingame played the first three seasons of his career with the Tennessee Titans after signing as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in 2019. The Titans inked him off the Vikings practice squad in November of his rookie year.

Blasingame joined the Bears on a one-year, $965,000 contract last offseason. He’ll return next season as a key cog on special teams.
