Chicago Bears 3-round Mock Draft: Here’s who Bears select after trading for D.J. Moore, No. 9 pick
Chicago Bears three-round mock draft: Here’s who the Bears take after trading out of the No. 1 pick with the Carolina Panthers for DJ Moore and the 9th pick.
The Chicago Bears traded the first overall pick to the Carolina Panthers for WR DJ Moore and a slew of draft picks, including the No. 9 and 61 in the 2023 draft, a first-round pick in 2024, and a second-rounder in 2025.
This is the perfect time for a new Bears mock draft. This edition is of the three-round variety.
Let’s go!

9. Calijah Kancey – Defensive Tackle, Pittsburgh
An “undersized” defensive tackle from Pittsburgh? Surely this can’t work again, can it? I won’t saddle Kancey with comparisons to Aaron Donald, but there’s no denying the sky-high upside. Kancey is extremely athletic and a prolific pass rusher in the middle of the trenches.
He could be the 3-technique that Matt Eberflus has been searching for.

54. Steve Avila – Guard, TCU
Avila has experience at both center and left guard, both severe positions of need for the Bears. He’s big, strong, incredibly smart, and has terrific anchors.
Poles got Justin Fields a WR1 in his trade with Carolina, now he starts building up his protection.

61. Luke Wypler – Center, Ohio State
Staying in the trenches, at 61, the Bears select arguably the best Center in the Big Ten. Like Avila, his football IQ is tremendous, much better than you’d expect from a third-year player.

64. Derick Hall – EDGE, Auburn
A phenomenal athlete, Hall has one of the most explosive first steps you’ll ever see. He needs to work on developing some pass-rush moves and countermoves, but his athleticism and speed is something that can’t be taught.
