2023 NFL Draft: Bears trade No. 9 pick to Eagles, who select DL Jalen Carter
2023 NFL Draft: Chicago Bears traded their first-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for a future fourth-roundpick
The Chicago Bears traded the No. 9 pick in the first round to the Philadelphia Eagles for the No. 10 and a 2024 fourth-round pick.
The Eagles used the selection on Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter, who many had ranked as the top overall player in the 2023 draft class.
The Chicago Bears were a logical team that could roll the dice on Carter, considering their need for a 3-tech. The Bears decided to pass.
GM Ryan Poles has proven to be a master of draft-day trades. He was one of the most active general managers in the 2022 NFL Draft and already pulled off the biggest trade of the 2023 draft when he dealt the No. 1 pick to the Carolina Panthers.
