The. Chicago Bears spent all three picks on Day 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft on defense, including their top choice, No. 53 overall, on Florida defensive lineman Gervon Dexter Sr.
Dexter offers an incredible blend of size and athleticism, but his lack of on-field development has prevented him from becoming a dominant force at the college level. As a result, he’ll be viewed as a bit of a reach.
But the potential is there, and if the Chicago Bears coaching staff can bring it out of him, he could become a stalwart in the middle of the defensive line.
