Madden 2024 Ratings: Chicago Bears defensive line is a disaster
Madden 24 Ratings: Here are the ratings for the Chicago Bears defensive linemen and inside linebackers.
After revealing Madden 24 ratings for receivers and safeties Monday, EA Sports released its scores for defensive tackles and pass rushers Tuesday.
Predictably, no one on the Chicago Bears scored rated high on the 99-point scale. Let’s look at who was included in today’s ratings and where they landed.
Note: EA Sports seems to have included outside linebackers in today’s release, but not middle linebackers. Those ratings will come with the quarterbacks on Friday.
Defensive Line
Justin Jones (74), Trevis Gipson (73), Andrew Billings (72), DeMarcus Walker (72), Rasheem Green (72), Domonique Robinson (71), Jalyn Holmes (69), Gervon Dexter Sr. (68), Zacch Pickens (67), Andrew Brown (65), Travis Bell (64), and Donavan Jeter (59)

Outside Linebacker
TJ Edwards (82), Jack Sanborn (72), Dylan Cole (68), and Sterling Weatherford (62)

Madden 24 ratings are fair for Chicago Bears’ defensive line
The Bears’ defensive front in 2022 was one of the worst I’ve ever seen, and while it has been improved since the season ended, there’s still a lot of work left to do.
The only players I thought should have been higher on the list were the pair of Day 2 rookie defensive tackles: Dexter and Pickens. I know many analysts and experts didn’t like the Dexter pick, calling it a “reach,” but he’s a massive man with incredible speed and strength.
With a little coaching from a defensive expert like head coach Matt Eberflus, I don’t think expecting him to make an immediate impact is unreasonable.
I thought Dexter deserved a rating in the 70s, at least four points higher than where he is now. Pickens is a bit more of a project, but an even 70 would have been agreeable to the people at EA Sports.
Dominique Robinson was another surprise, this one being higher than I expected. He clocks in with a respectable 71 despite a mostly disappointing rookie year. But according to interviews he’s done, he’s been hard at work this offseason to improve his craft, and I think he’ll take a sizable leap this year as one of the Bears’ better pass rushers.
We’lll get the Madden 24 ratings for running backs and offensive linemen Wednesday. I am incredibly excited to see where some popular Chicago Bears land on that list, notably Darnell Wright and Khalil Herbert.
