Yannick Ngakoue says Bears an ‘easy transition’ and ‘great fit’ for 2023
Here’s what Chicago Bears defensive end Yannick Ngakoue said at his introductory press conference on Friday
Newly signed Chicago Bears pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue met with the media Friday and gave a simple yet perfect answer to why he chose the Bears: “It’s a great fit.”
It certainly is for Ngakoue, who joins a familiar system with familiar coaches.
“It’s an easy transition with my position coach and my defensive coordinator,” Ngakoue said.
Ngakoue immediately provides the Bears defense with the kind of pass-rusher needed to compete in the NFC North. Fresh off of a 9.5-sack season with the Colts, Ngakoue is widely regarded as one of the top sack artists in the league.
He’s totaled 65 sacks through seven seasons.
Ngakoue, who has a Bear tattoo on his hand, said he felt like it was destiny to be a Chicago Bear. Check out his complete press conference below:
