Claypool has been in sync with Justin Fields throughout the last several practices and is a legitimate candidate to be the Chicago Bears player who’s having the best training camp.
Rookie wide receiver Tyler Scott will be the biggest beneficiary of any Claypool absence, even if it’s just for a few practices. Scott has been the Bears’ most impressive rookie on the practice field and has already proven that he deserves meaningful reps this season. If Claypool takes a while to return to the field, it’ll be Scott’s time to shine.
