WATCH: Every Roschon Johnson carry from Week 2’s preseason game vs. Colts
WATCH: Every rep of Chicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson from Week 2’s preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Chicago Bears’ rookies were the primary focus for fans who tuned into an otherwise lackluster Week 2 preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.
The Bears lost the game, 24-17, but, honestly, who cares.
The bigger takeaway was the performance of several key rookies, including undrafted quarterback Tyson Bagent, who’s quickly entering the QB2 conversation.
Running back Roschon Johnson did his part to increase competition on the depth chart, too. He’s long been considered a challenger for the starting job, but with Khalil Herbert seemingly entrenched in that role, the attention has shifted to Johnson vs. D’Onta Foreman for primary backup duties.
So far, it hasn’t been close. Johnson is running with more authority and better results in the preseason, including against the Colts when he ran seven times for 32 yards.
If you missed the game, don’t worry. Here are all of Johnson’s reps from Week 2’s preseason contest:
