2023 Season
WATCH: Every Justin Fields pass and run in Week 6 loss to the Vikings
VIDEO of all of Justin Fields passes and runs from the Chicago Bears’ Week 6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields didn’t have the performance he hoped for in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Bears lost the game, 19-13, and Fields threw for only 58 yards. He tossed an interception, ran for 46 yards, and was knocked out of the third quarter with a dislocated right thumb.
We’ll get an update on Fields’ injury on Monday, but the prevailing opinion is that he’ll miss some time. What we don’t know is how much. He didn’t suffer any breaks, but dislocations usually indicate ligament damage, sometimes requiring surgery. If so, Justin Fields will be out for a while.
There’s a world in which we’ve seen the last of Fields as a Chicago Bear. Sure, that sounds extreme, but if Fields’ injury keeps him shelved for the rest of the year, and the Bears end the season with one of the first two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, it’s all but guaranteed a new quarterback will be under center next season.
Hopefully, that isn’t the case. But Fields will be under the microscope for the rest of the 2023 season. Every pass and run will be viewed through the lens of whether his playing style can lead to sustained success for the Bears.
You be the judge (at least, for Week 6). Here are all of Justin Fields’ passes and runs from Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
