Chicago Bears Prop Bets: Week 5 at Vikings (2022 Season)

It's Week 5 in the NFL, which means it's time to take a look at another batch of Chicago Bears prop bets. This time, it's against the Minnesota Vikings.

We added a bonus bet last week, leading to our first losing week in the prop category. After a 2-2 week, we are now 6-4 on the season with a slight overall profit. This week we look to get back on track against a Vikings team coming off a close victory in London. Hopefully, the Bears can capitalize on their opponent's travel situation, and we can make some money in the process.

Justin Fields over 38.5 rushing yards (-120)

Fields has found numerous opportunities to run in recent weeks without disrupting the offense. While the line is still figuring things out, Fields often improvises outside the pocket. His athleticism has become a real weapon that the coaching staff can use to get the ball moving.

The Vikings have been fine against the run, but Fields' willingness and ability to take off at any moment provides an attack the Vikings haven't seen. Their one run-in with a mobile quarterback this year ended with 57 yards for Jalen Hurts on 11 rushes. Expect the Bears to keep Fields moving, and expect Fields to look to run whenever possible.

Kyler Gordon over 4.5 tackles + assists (+110)

Gordon has been a major target for opposing offenses this season. He has struggled in pass coverage, and other teams have noticed. However, this prop doesn't require him to be the best corner on the field. Gordon is certainly improving, but we can still profit from his youth.

Gordon has gone over 4.5 tackles/assists in three of the Bears' first four games and totaled four in the one other game. The Vikings will likely go after Gordon again on Sunday, so he will have plenty of chances here. Add in Gordon's tenacity in the run game, and you have the perfect equation for him to stack tackles.

Cole Kmet longest reception over 14.5 yards (-120)

The Bears finally got Kmet involved in the passing game last week, and they will need to keep going his way to have some success moving the ball. While his longest catch last week only went for 13 yards, Kmet has been open downfield multiple times this year. Every game film critic on Twitter has been quick to point out whenever Fields fails to see him. The coaches and players are watching this same tape, and they'll be sure to rectify these misses in a major divisional matchup. Kmet should see the ball early and often on Sunday afternoon.
