Experts don't think Bears have a chance against Patriots (2022 Season)

It's been a while since the Chicago Bears played a game. Ten days, to be exact. And the last time we saw the Bears in action, they lost a Thursday night game to a Washington Commanders team that many thought they'd beat.

As a result, confidence in the Bears is waning. Honestly, there wasn't any confidence in this team since the start of the season. But at 2-4 and still searching for an offense that's matured since the 1980s, Chicago is widely viewed as one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Expert predictions support this pessimistic view. According to NFL Pick Watch, 97% of experts polled are picking the New England Patriots to defeat the Bears in Week 7's Monday Night Football matchup.

Bears fans can't be sour about Chicago's standing in league circles. Until QB Justin Fields lights a spark on offense, the jokes will continue. The frustration will remain. But if there's ever a good time to launch a new narrative, it's on Monday Night Football against Bill Belichick. Should the Bears somehow pull off an upset victory, and Fields looks good along the way, the perception will begin to change.
