Justin Fields remains limited at Bears practice (2022 Season)

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields remains limited at practice Wednesday, putting his status for Sunday's Week 13 game against the Green Bay Packers in doubt.

Coach Matt Eberflus met with the media and said Fields would take some first-team reps in practice, splitting time with Nathan Peterman while Trevor Siemian rests his oblique injury.

Siemian's condition resulted in the Bears signing QB Tim Boyle off the Detroit Lions practice squad. He'll be on the 53-man roster for at least the next three weeks per NFL rules.

Will Justin Fields play in Week 13?

Whether Fields plays against the Packers on Sunday depends on how he responds in practice over the next few days. The Bears held him out of Week 12 because, according to Eberflus, Fields didn't have the requisite strength in his shoulder to protect himself.

Eberflus said Wednesday that Fields needs his mobility and strength back to get the green light. He called it a day-to-day process.

Remember, it's Packers week. Don't expect much clarity from the Bears about Fields' playing status. It's the whole competitive advantage thing. He'll probably be a game-time decision, but the odds he'll play in Week 13 are much greater than they were this time last week.

Justin Fields has thrown for 1,642 yards, run for 834, and combined for 20 touchdowns in 11 games played this season.
