NFL Trade Deadline: Bears closing in on trade for a defensive end
NFL Trade Deadline: Could the Chicago Bears be closing in on a trade for Washington Commanders edge rusher Chase Young?
Chase Young? Montez Sweat? We don’t know who the Chicago Bears are targeting in a trade at the 2023 NFL trade deadline, but according to the Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs, a defensive end could be coming to Chicago very soon.
Hearing the #Bears could be close to adding a defensive end via the trade market … nothing set yet. But there are definitely wheels in motion.

The Bears have been rumored to be interested in Young for a few weeks, with speculation about a potential trade ramping up over the last few days.
Young, 24, is fully healthy after tearing his ACL midway through the 2021 season. He’s registered five sacks in seven games and is on pace to set a new career-high this year.
Any trade for Young will require a new contract for him, too. The Washington Commanders declined his fifth-year option, which means he’ll cash in in free agency or with whichever team — including the Chicago Bears — that decides to trade for him.
The 2023 NFL Trade Deadline is 3 p.m. CST (4 p.m. EST) on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
