WATCH: Justin Fields provides update on recovery from thumb injury
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields provided an update on his dislocated thumb that’s kept him out of the lineup since Week 7.
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields provided an update on his recovery from the dislocated right thumb that he suffered during Week 7’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Fields missed the last two games while he regains his grip strength. He threw for the first time since suffering the injury on Friday, sporting a glove on his right hand. Fields said the glove helps him grip the ball, and admitted his hold on the ball still isn’t 100%.
Justin Fields also offered praise for backup Tyson Bagent. He, like other Bears players and fans, has been impressed with the undrafted rookie since the summer, and said he’s happy for the success the Shepherd University product has enjoyed.
