2023 Season
Here’s what Bears players said after Week 10 win over Panthers
Chicago Bears players had a lot to say after Week 10’s victory over the Carolina Panthers.
The Chicago Bears won their third game of the season on Thursday night, 16-13, over the Carolina Panthers.
The Bears improved their record to 3-7. The Panthers, whose first-round pick belongs to Chicago, fall to 1-8.
The Bears are now 2-2 over their last four games — all Tyson Bagent starts — and continue to tease fans with a team that, at times, look like a tough and physical squad that can compete in the NFC North.
We’re still a long winning streak away from buying in on this team in 2023, but wins like Thursday night’s can serve as building blocks for the future.
Bears players are enjoying the moment.
Here are some of the notable quotes from after the game.
“I felt like the defense, we dominated the whole game. … It was just going out there and keep getting the ball back for our offense.” – Jaylon Johnson.
“It was fun. A defensive game, I wouldn’t want it any other way.” – Montez Sweat.
“I don’t know if this is it. … (But) I learned that it’s really hard to win in the NFL. Appreciate all the wins. Really, I appreciate the team. Staff and players included, they all rallied behind me. I never had a doubt for a second that they all had my back.” – Tyson Bagent.
“What was really good today was that he’s always done a really good job of avoiding sacks, but what he did well today was, he didn’t put the ball in harms way and gave us a chance to win.” – Matt Eberflus on Tyson Bagent.
“It wasn’t the prettiest performance, but we found a way to win, and that’s all that matters in this league.” – DJ Moore.
