Fantasy Football Week 11: These 4 players should be in your starting lineup
Fantasy Football lineup advice for Week 11, including four players you should be starting.
Week 10 was a BIG week for Fantasy players looking to make that playoff push and DraftKings players looking for that “bang for buck” value. Outside of my tight-end selection of Taysom Hill, the rest of my favorable Fantasy picks should have supported your rosters and (hopefully) lifted you to victory.
We’re getting down to the wire in many leagues, with playoffs fast approaching. And in DraftKings daily play, it’s as crazy and unpredictable as possible.
To help you make that push for some victory cash and lock in a spot for your league’s playoff bracket, your roster needs balance: the guys who are locks in favorable matchups and those affordable pickups that have a high ceiling at low cost.
Here’s who to target and who should be “must starts” in all facets of Fantasy Football in Week 11.
QB: Dak Prescott (DAL) vs. CAR
Dak had a monster Week 10, obliterating the Giants into nonexistence. Four touchdowns and 404 yards. If you rostered Dak, you played one of the most lights-out quarterbacks of Week 10 and certainly reaped the benefits.
His DraftKings value will undoubtedly increase (it was already a top-dollar pickup), but Dak is worth every penny, especially against the league-worst Carolina Panthers in Week 11.
While Prescott will unlikely produce the same Week 10 numbers in Week 11, even 70% of that is enough to warrant him as a must-pick-up/must-play selection for the quarterback slot.
Secure the points with one of the most favorable Week 11 matchups. Dallas and Dak crush this one out of the park (again).
RB: Austin Ekeler (LAC) vs. GB
Ekeler is getting VOLUME, getting 14+ carries in each of the last four weeks. The Chargers are on a hot streak, with Ekeler being one of the catalysts of recent success.
Despite a close Week 10 loss to the NFC North-leading Lions, the Chargers are in playoff conversation and are looking to bounce back against the struggling Packers (wow, it feels good to type that). There is no sign of Ekeler’s rushing volume decreasing, and while his yards per carry numbers aren’t exactly stellar, he does have three touchdowns over the last two weeks.
Give me Ekeler with 15+ attempts, 70+ yards, and a score on Sunday against the Packers.
WR: Chris Godwin (TB) vs. SF (‘Gamble of the Week’)
Honorable Mention: Noah Brown (HOU) vs. ARI
Full transparency: Noah Brown (HOU) held the wide receiver slot on this list until I read that he did not practice on Wednesday. Still, regardless of injury status, roster him NOW. He’s available in nearly half of Yahoo leagues and should have been the first waiver claim you placed this week. If he’s active, start him alongside your other wide-outs.
Now, assuming he does not play, we’re going with my “gamble of the week”: Chris Godwin.
Godwin’s DraftKings price is more than affordable due to a string of quiet, not-so-groundbreaking games stats-wise. His breakout game has to happen sooner or later, and I have a feeling that he’ll see his first score since October 26th in Week 11.
I like Godwin as a WR2 selection in daily play, getting five receptions for 50+ yards and a score.
TE: George Kittle (SF) vs. TB
Is George Kittle a must-start now? No, he isn’t. He had just three receptions in Week 10. Thankfully, those three receptions gained 116 yards and a score.
It was low volume and big bang for Kittle in Week 10, who will look for more consistent targets in Week 11.
Again, as I always say, the tight end position is a risk and a shot in the dark. Kittle has a favorable matchup against the Tampa Bay defense and will look to repeat a score in back-to-back weeks. Output for dollar amount: I’ll take Kittle against the Bucs over Kelce against the Eagles. This is a reliable start.
