The holidays are here, but unfortunately for Chicago Bears fans, not all is merry and bright.

The Bears’ heartbreaking loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 16 all but ended their 2023 playoff hopes. Sure, there’s still a mathematical possibility that Chicago sneaks in, but the odds are severely stacked against them.

Still, the final three games of the season have meaning. Serious meaning.

Several pressing offseason questions are facing GM Ryan Poles, especially at quarterback and head coach. A strong finish by Justin Fields and a winning streak for Matt Eberflus could result in both being back in 2024. But if either has an inconsistent showing? All bets are off.

Here’s how the Bears Talk staff sees the biggest questions of the 2024 offseason shaking out.

Up first for Fields and Eberflus are the Arizona Cardinals, who, like the Bears, aren’t great. At 3-11, Arizona is one of the few teams that pose a threat to the Chicago Bears (through the Carolina Panthers) for the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Of course, Bears fans want to win the game, but would a loss be the worst thing for the future of the organization? It would at least push Arizona out of contention for the top pick.

It’s a win-win for Bears fans this week.
