Caleb Williams showcased leadership with this act at end of NFL Combine
Caleb Williams took another giant step closer to becoming the Chicago Bears quarterback with this display of leadership at the end of the 2024 NFL Combine.
It certainly feels like any worries about Caleb Williams’ leadership qualities have been squashed at the 2024 NFL Combine.
The presumptive Chicago Bears’ choice with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft, Williams took one giant step closer to Halas Hall with his display of class at the conclusion of the on-field drills Saturday.
Williams was the last player off the field and acknowledged all the personnel who worked the event.
Last player to leave the field Saturday night after the drills?
Caleb Williams.
Hung and said goodbye to all the folks who ran the drills and worked the event.

That may seem like no big deal to the casual fan, but Bears fans know better. At least, they know their general manager.
Remember: One of the big reasons Ryan Poles and the Chicago Bears front office and coaching staff fell in love with running back Roschon Johnson last year was his rare leadership traits. The story of him hanging around the Bears’ facility after a position meeting to make sure all of the empty water bottles and other trash was discarded was well documented. Williams’ decision to be the last guy off the field and acknowledge everyone who put their time into the event has the same vibe.
All reports indicate the Bears will select Caleb Williams with the first pick, but every bit of good news about his character helps ease the concerns about Chicago letting a leader like Justin Fields go.
Caleb Williams will be just fine replacing him.
