Everett started 23 games over the last two seasons for the Chargers, totaling 109 catches for 966 yards and seven scores. He’ll add a quality pass-catching option to the position and represents a nice complement to Cole Kmet, who’s more of a do-it-all in-line player.
Bears are giving former Chargers TE Gerald Everett a 2-year, $12 million base value deal with a max value up to $14 million that includes $6.1 million Fully Guaranteed, per source. https://t.co/KRWgzsyTsj

The addition of Everett all but eliminates the Chicago Bears as a possible destination for Georgia’s Brock Bowers in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Everett, 29, entered the NFL as a second-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams in the 2017 NFL Draft.
