The Georgia Bulldogs hosted all 32 NFL teams at their Pro Day on Wednesday afternoon. According to Senior Bowl executive Jim Nagy, Chicago Bears offensive line coach and run game coordinator Chris Morgan is in attendance. Morgan could be gathering info on a number of offensive line prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Right tackle Amarius Mims is the standout prospect Morgan will see. One of the most impressive performers among all participating offensive linemen at the NFL Combine, the 6-foot-7, 340-pound mammoth possesses the rare size, movement skills, and length (36 ?” arms, 86 ¾” wingspan) necessary to develop into an All-Pro talent at the position. Mims is a little raw and inexperienced, but his moldable traits indicate he’s going to be a top-20 pick.

To state the obvious, the Bears used a top-10 selection on right tackle Darnell Wright during the 2023 NFL Draft. Unless Mims is capable of playing left tackle, the Bears’ focus at Georgia’s Pro Day is likely to shift towards another prospect. And there’s a clear-cut target that should capture Morgan’s attention.

Georgia center Sendrick Van Pran projects as a mid-round pick. Van Pran was being touted as a top-100 selection in last year’s draft before deciding to return to Georgia for his senior campaign. The Bears currently lack a starting center after parting ways with Lucas Patrick and Cody Whitehair earlier this offseason. Ryan Bates, who was acquired through trade, is now Chicago’s best in-house option. Van Pran would make a lot of sense with the 75th overall selection in the third round.
