The Chicago Bears will host Tulane wide receiver Jha’Quan Jackson on a Top 30 pre-draft visit at Halas Hall. The news was confirmed on Twitter by The Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler. Jackson is a dynamic prospect that is earning a mid-round grade from most NFL teams.

Jackson is a versatile slot receiver who can provide explosive plays for Shane Waldron’s offense. The Luling, Louisiana native recorded 26 receptions for 439 receiving yards and four touchdowns for the Green Wave offense this past season while playing with a fellow NFL draft hopeful in quarterback Michael Pratt. Jackson also displayed his abilities at this year’s Senior Bowl.

Short-area quickness makes Jackson a difficult assignment for opposing defensive backs. The undersized Jackson (5-9, 188) ran a blazing-fast 4.42 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine with a 1.54 10 yard split. Jackson plays in the short, intermediate, and deep portions of the field.

Jackson doubles as a dynamic special teams player as well. He returned 32 career kicks at Tulane for 734 yards, returning three kickoffs for 40-plus yards. The new kickoff rules make Jackson a potentially dynamic returner at the next level. Jackson also returned 58 career punts for 664 yards, scoring a 90-yard touchdown in 2022.

The Bears are slated to draft No. 75 in the third round, and No. 122 in the fourth round. That’s approximately the range Jackson is expected to be drafted in. Jackson would join a Bears depth chart that features D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, and last year’s fourth-round pick, Tyler Scott.
