Chicago Bears Complete 2024 Mock Draft: Building a team around Caleb Williams

The 2024 NFL Draft will soon arrive. Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles has just four overall selections, but two of those picks are within the top 10. Poles has an opportunity to draft two blue-chip prospects.

We’ve completed our latest Chicago Bears 2024 NFL Mock Draft! The Pro Football Focus simulator was used to make the picks for Chicago.

ROUND 1 (NO. 1 OVERALL) | CALEB WILLIAMS | QB | USC

The Bears will soon make USC quarterback Caleb Williams the No. 1 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. Williams is a generational quarterback prospect with the dual-threat abilities required to quickly develop into an All-Pro quarterback. Once Williams officially joins the fold, the Bears are well-positioned to become postseason contenders.

ROUND 1 (NO. 9 OVERALL) | MALIK NABERS | WR | LSU

Poles has shown consistent interest in the top receiver prospects despite trading for Keenan Allen earlier this offseason. Malik Nabers, Rome Odunze, and Marvin Harrison Jr. have all visited Halas Hall on pre-draft in-person 30 visits. Surrounding Williams with high-end receiving weapons is obviously a priority for Poles.

The Bears would sprint the pick to the podium if Nabers remains available at No. 9. Nabers is a three-level weapon with rare explosiveness and separation skills. Williams would appreciate having Nabers, Allen, and D.J. Moore at his disposal.

ROUND 3 (NO. 75 OVERALL) | MATT GONCALVES | OT | PITTSBURGH

I believe Poles will target a mid-round offensive tackle to compete with Braxton Jones at left tackle. Pittsburgh’s Matt Goncalves is experienced on both the left and right side, having made eight combined starts as a blindside protector across 2022 and 2023. Goncalves displaces defenders in the run game with punch and hand engagement to finish blocks with desired efficiency.

ROUND 4 (NO. 122 OVERALL) | MO KAMARA | OLB | COLORADO STATE

The Bears need to develop a pass rusher opposite Montez Sweat. Colorado State’s Mohamed Kamara was uber-productive for the Rams, having recorded 30.5 sacks and 45.5 tackles for loss throughout his college football career. Kamara took a step forward in 2023, producing a personal-best 13 sacks. Kamara was also an elite tester at the NFL Combine, running a 4.57 40-yard dash and leaping a 34.5-inch vertical and 10-foot-3 broad. Kamara is undersized (6-1, 248), but his pass-rushing traits are worthy of the 122nd selection.

Mohamed Kamara is a DE prospect in the 2024 draft class. He scored a 8.47 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 258 out of 1685 DE from 1987 to 2024.
