Future Bears QB Caleb Williams shares inside look at who he is

Caleb Williams has been one of the most misunderstood NFL Draft prospects that I can ever remember covering. The expected first overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft will officially become a Chicago Bear on Thursday night. He’s been pegged as the player who will change everything we’ve come to know about quarterbacking in Chicago.

One of the biggest questions surrounding Williams as a prospect is whether he has the mental makeup to be a true franchise quarterback in the NFL. Despite his proven success at two high-profile programs and the national spotlight that came with winning the Heisman Trophy in 2022, doubt lingered.

Caleb Williams has done everything in his power to erase those doubts, and by most accounts, he has. He’s aced every part of the NFL Draft process, including his NFL Combine media session, pro day, and private meetings with the Chicago Bears.

But his most impressive showing may have been during a recent interview on the Pivot Podcast. It’s a must-watch for anyone who wants a deeper look inside what makes Williams tick. He talks about his goals on the field and offered this snippet about who he is, what kind of guy he is. Check it out:

Chicago Bears fans are scarred by failed first-round quarterbacks. Mitch Trubisky is the most obvious. But Caleb Williams is different. He’s rare. And the Bears are very, very lucky that he’ll soon be theirs.
