Bears WR Rome Odunze already hates the Packers
Chicago Bears first-round pick Rome Odunze hates the Packers so much it makes him sick.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze may be new to the team, but he’s already saying all the right things.
Just moments after being selected by the Bears with the ninth overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Odunze confirmed a critical requirement of being one of the centerpieces of this team: he hates the Green Bay Packers.
In fact, they make him puke.
Rome Odunze on the Packers: “every time I see green I nearly puke”.
This is the mindset needed for the Bears to turn this rivalry around. #Bears #FGBpic.twitter.com/QN7ngPN3hW

The Bears were never supposed to land Rome Odunze. He should’ve been off the board at No. 7 to the Tennessee TItans. A team was supposed to leapfrog the Bears and trade with the Atlanta Falcons at No. 8 to snag him if he lasted that long. The odds seemed slim, at best, yet… here we are. The player who had 92 catches for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023 for the Washington Huskies will join forces with DJ Moore and Keenan Allen to catch passes from the Chicago Bears’ first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Caleb Williams.

Bears fans are still waiting to be pinched out of this dream.
Landing Odunze was special enough. The fact he despises Packers Green makes him pitch-perfect.
