Where do Bears land in latest NFL power rankings?

We’ve entered the last dead period before NFL training camp gets underway next month, which means it’s time to for all the national outlets to put out their preseason power rankings.

The latest list from Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk has the Chicago Bears ranked No. 17 in the league heading into the 2024 season.

“The defense is solid and the offense is greatly improved,” Florio writes.

Florio gave one-liners on every team, and while there’s not much meat on the bone in terms of analysis, his brief assessment of the Bears is correct. The Bears have made strong additions on both sides of the ball this offseason, throughout the roster and on the coaching staff. All of those improvements should make the Bears a dark-horse playoff contender, especially if rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is as advertised from Day 1.
