NFL cancels supplemental draft for 2024
There won’t be an NFL supplemental draft this year.
The NFL will not be holding a supplemental draft in 2024, according to a memo sent out by the league Wednesday (via MMQB’s Albert Breer).
Most years, the league holds a supplemental draft over the summer to allow players to be picked by NFL teams who didn’t originally declare for the regular draft, but have since decided to leave the college ranks, or have become ineligible.
Few players are ever selected in the supplemental draft, with wide receiver Josh Gordon being one of the few recent supplemental draft picks to make any kind of significant impact at the pro level.
The NFL just sent a memo out to teams that it will not be holding a supplemental draft this year, per source.

The Chicago Bears have only used a supplemental draft pick once in their history, spending a seventh-rounder on BYU defensive lineman Harvey Unga back in 2010.
