Devin Hester, You Are Ridiculous (and a Hall of Famer)! (News)

Say Devin Hester’s name around any Chicago Bears fan, and the reaction is likely to be the same: a smile and a few flashbacks to their favorite Hester moments.

There were so, so many Hester moments.

My favorite was this one (even though the Bears ended up losing the Super Bowl):

Devin Hester is headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame later this summer because of how many moments like that he produced. In total, Hester had over 10,000 career return yards and an NFL-record 20 return touchdowns. He was the best kick and punt returner in NFL history.

Hester’s game-breaking ability led the Bears to give him a crack at wide receiver in 2008 when he started eight games. He reached a career-best 13 starts at receiver in 2010, but his prowess as a returner didn’t quite translate to success as a pass-catcher.

Devin Hester’s best season as a wideout came in 2009 when he caught 57 passes for 757 yards and three touchdowns, an average season by any standard.

Still, he had some flashes.

Here’s a quick highlight package of his best moments as a Chicago Bears wide receiver:

Expect a whole lot of Devin Hester highlight montages this summer, especially during the Bears’ Hall of Fame game on August 1 against the Houston Texans.
