Bears grant Simone Biles’ husband time off from training camp to attend Olympics
Jonathan Owens will have a couple of days off to watch his wife compete in Paris.
When Simone Biles is competing for gold at the Olympics later this summer, she’ll have her husband there to cheer her on.
Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens will be going through training camp at the same time, but the team is giving him a couple of days off to travel to Paris and watch his wife compete, Biles said recently.
One of the most dominant and decorated athletes in the history of international competition, Biles won four gold medals back in 2016, and is a 23-time world champion in various gymnastics events.
Owens signed with the Bears in free agency after spending last season with the rival Green Bay Packers.
