Rejoice, Bears fans! Football is finally back in Chicago. Bears rookies report to Halas Hall for the start of training camp on Tuesday, July 16. The remaining portion of the 90-man roster will report to the organization’s Lake Forest facility later this week on Friday, July 19.

Head coach Matt Eberflus will hold the Bears’ first practice of 2024 training camp on Saturday, July 20 via a closed-door session. The Bears’ first practice open to the public will be held on Friday, July 26. A free ticket is required for entry. The Bears’ complete 2024 training camp schedule can be viewed via the official team website.

There’s a historic amount of excitement surrounding the Bears’ training camp rookie reporting date. That’s what happens when you have two top-10 picks in franchise quarterback Caleb Williams and wide receiver Rome Odunze. It’s worth acknowledging that both Williams and Odunze haven’t yet signed their rookie contracts as of Tuesday morning, and won’t be allowed to participate in training camp until pen is officially put to paper.

It’s a situation worth monitoring this week.

It’s worth remembering there are other rookies on the Bears’ roster besides Williams and Odunze (hah). General manager Ryan Poles made five selections during the 2024 draft in total. Offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie, punter Tory Taylor, and EDGE Austin Booker will also report to training camp on Tuesday. The 2024 draft class will be joined by a slew of undrafted rookies, including former Illinois defensive tackle Keith Randolph Jr.

Tuesday’s training camp could also mark the filming start date of “Hard Knocks.” The Bears will be the focus of HBO’s popular series this summer. Cameras are gearing up to film what’s guaranteed to be an exciting training camp and preseason period at Halas Hall.
