Keenan Allen: Rome Odunze is better than I was coming into the NFL
One of the best receivers in the league has some high praise for his new rookie teammate.
The Chicago Bears made two massive additions to their wide receiver group this offseason, trading for star veteran Keenan Allen from the Los Angeles Chargers, and spending the No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft on Washington’s Rome Odunze.
Allen has long been known as one of the most polished, savvy receivers in the NFL, but he believes Odunze is a better player than he was when he entered the league as a third-round pick out of Cal.
Speaking to the media from training camp Sunday, Allen detailed the ways in which Odunze is more suited to make an immediate impact at the next level than he was coming out of college:
Keenan Allen says Rome Odunze is better than he was when he came into the League
“He’s faster, he comes out of his breaks better…he looks more polished than a was as a receiver.”

If that’s true, Caleb Williams and the Bears are in for a treat, having both Allen and Odunze alongside D.J. Moore heading into the 2024 season.
