Chicago Bears wider receiver Keenan Allen has returned to the NFL Top 100 list in 2024 after missing the cut in 2023.

Allen checks in at No. 51, his seventh appearance on the Top 100 and fourth-highest placement of his career (his highest mark was 35th in 2022). While there are valid criticisms about the six-time Pro Bowler’s age and health throughout the season, he still has the respect of his peers as one of the best receivers in the league, ranking even higher than guys like D.K. Metcalf, Terry McLaurin, and Cooper Kupp.

Despite missing four games in 2023, Allen managed to put up over 1,200 yards and seven touchdowns.

Allen is the second Chicago Bear to make the list this week, with Montez Sweat checking in at 82nd on Monday, his first time in the Top 100. Admittedly, I was a bit surprised he made the list. Once we got past the first 30 names, I figured Allen hadn’t made the cut again. Seeing him nearly make the Top 50 is just one more reminder of the incredible job GM Ryan Poles has done in giving rookie quarterback Caleb Wiliams all the tools he needs to succeed.

There are still two more Bears who ought to make the list: DJ Moore and Jaylon Johnson, neither of whom has made the Top 100 list before. Considering the career year that both players had in 2023, with Moore setting a personal high in yards and total touchdowns and Johnson winning his first Pro Bowl award, they should both find themselves ranked in the 30s, maybe even as high as the 20s.
