Tyrique Stevenson raves about Rome Odunze’s ‘sneaky’ speed
The Bears’ rookie wide receiver is already surprising his new teammates with his speed.
Heading into the 2024 NFL draft, it was clear that Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze checked every box for league scouts when it comes to being a No. 1 receiver at the next level.
His combination of size and athleticism was impressive, but Odunze still didn’t get enough credit for just how fast he is, especially for his size.
After the Chicago Bears selected him with the No. 9 overall pick in this year’s draft, Odunze’s new teammates are quickly finding out just how much speed he brings to the table, as cornerback Tyrique Stevenson pointed out after one of this week’s training camp practices:
