Sweat explains that Williams is both humble and a leader, but more importantly, he doesn’t let a bad rep “throw him off.” Sweat emphasized that moving past a bad play is important for quarterbacks to succeed in the NFL, and there’s no doubt Caleb Williams can do that.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Williams since he joined the Bears as the first overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, it’s that he has a rare mental makeup. He’s cut from the cloth of franchise quarterbacks past. In other words, he’s the type of player Chicago’s never had.
