Each day this week, EA Sports has been releasing player ratings for Madden NFL 25, position by position. On Wednesday, we got ratings for the Chicago Bears’ pass rushers and interior offensive linemen.

Montez Sweat leads Chicago in these groups with an 84 rating, which feels a little low after a 12.5-sack season and a Pro Bowl nod. Unless the Bears make a trade for another defensive end, the rest of this group looks bad.

The next highest graded pass rusher is Jacob Martin at just 73. No one else is higher than 71, and none of them made the Top 10.

The offensive line looks little better in terms of depth, but it’s still not great. Teven Jenkins checks in as the top rating for Chicago’s OL with an 81, a three-point improvement from last season but still too low. I understand Jenkins has been injured a lot, but when on the field he’s been a bulldozer. Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright get a 78 and 77, respectively, and the last two starters are a 75 (Nate Davis) and 73 (Ryan Bates).

Just as it was for the defensive tackles and running backs, EA Sports isn’t a fan of the Chicago Bears pass rushers and offensive linemen. It’s hard to blame them, though. While both groups are in better shape than in recent years, these positions are still weaknesses that require significant investments.

Unless Caleb Williams gets an abnormally high rating for a rookie quarterback, Bears fans may not have much fun playing as their team in Madden NFL 25.
