EA Sports released their final batch of player ratings on Friday for Madden NFL 25, this time the quarterbacks and linebackers.

Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams earned a 76, the highest score among rookie quarterbacks and the 20th-best score for the entire position. It’s a fair score, and when you look at specific traits like throw power and accuracy, it seems about right.

Tyson Bagent earned a four-point improvement from last year’s rating but is still pretty low at 56. That’s one point behind Brett Rypien (although maybe that score should be increased after his incredible Hall of Fame game?).

As for the Bears’ linebackers, Tremaine Edmunds and TJ Edwards both have an 84 rating, which is actually a three-point reduction for Edmunds from last year. I understand he struggled early on, but Edmunds got back into form halfway through the season. This rating feels a little harsh, though it does leave him tied for 10th-best middle linebacker.

Fan-favorite Jack Sanborn received a 72, while Noah Sewell is rated at 66, the same as last year.

Bears may not be a very fun team for Madden players

Looking back at all the Madden NFL 25 ratings, Chicago Bears fans may not have a great time playing as their favorite team in this year’s Madden. The squad isn’t terrible, but only one player (Keenan Allen) scored 90 or higher. However, 18 starters were rated above 75.

If all goes according to GM Ryan Poles’ plan, by the time EA Sports adjusts its 2024 ratings, the Bears will be one of the hottest teams in the NFL.
