Where do the Chicago Bears pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?
With the Chicago Bears’ 2024 season going sideways, it may be time to look ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft.
I didn’t expect to start covering the 2025 NFL Draft until much later in the season. Hopefully, the Chicago Bears will pull off a massive upset in Week 11 over the Green Bay Packers to help stall our draft coverage for another week or two.
But let’s be honest, that’s a long shot. So, we might as well look at where the Bears’ first-round pick is slotted with just eight games remaining in the season.
Here’s the current first-round order for the 2025 NFL Draft:
1. Jacksonville (2-8)
2. New York Giants (2-8)
3. Tennessee (2-7)
4. Cleveland (2-7)
5. Las Vegas (2-7)
6. Miami (2-6)
7. New England (3-7)
8. New York Jets (3-7)
9. New Orleans (3-7)
10. Carolina (3-7)
11. Dallas (3-6)
12. Indianapolis (4-6)
13. Cincinnati (4-6)
14. Tampa Bay (4-6)
15. Seattle (4-5)
16. Chicago (4-5)
17. Los Angeles Rams (4-4)
18. San Francisco (5-4)
19. Denver (5-5)
20. Houston (6-4)
21. Atlanta (6-4)
22. Arizona (6-4)
23. Los Angeles Chargers (6-3)
24. Green Bay (6-3)
25. Washington (7-3)
26. Baltimore (7-3)
27. Pittsburgh (7-2)
28. Minnesota (7-2)
29. Philadelphia (7-2)
30. Buffalo (8-2)
31. Detroit (8-1)
32. Kansas City (9-0)
The Bears own the 16th pick right now, but if I were a betting man, I’d project a selection closer to the top 10 by the time the year is over. Chicago is entering the NFC North gauntlet with six of their remaining eight games in the NFL’s toughest division. Yikes.

The Bears are likely to target an offensive lineman in the first round this year, and two — Texas OT Kelvin Banks and LSU OT Will Campbell — are considered top-15 prospects. There could be as many as seven offensive linemen selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, giving GM Ryan Poles (assuming he’s still in the big chair) an immediate opportunity to enhance the protection around Caleb Williams.
