Bears 2025 NFL Draft Position: Where does Chicago pick in the first round entering Week 17?
The Chicago Bears’ 2025 NFL Draft position is taking shape. Here’s where they pick in the first round entering Week 17.
The Chicago Bears fell to 4-11 after losing to the Detroit Lions, 34-17, in Week 16. The Bears have now lost nine games in a row, an irritating turn of events, to say the least, after Chicago began the season as winners of four of their first six games.
Yet, here we are. Another football season that’s down to its final eight quarters and Bears fans’ eyes pointed toward the NFL Draft. This time, it’s the 2025 draft, which should give Chicago a great opportunity to upgrade the offensive line in the first round, especially if their current first-round slotting holds steady.
Entering Week 17, the Chicago Bears hold the ninth overall pick.

There’s little doubt about the direction the Bears will go in with their first-round pick. At least, there better not be. General manager Ryan Poles must prioritize the offensive line, with left tackle likely being pushed to the very top of their needs after Braxton Jones suffered a severe leg injury against the Lions that could put the start of his 2025 season in jeopardy. The Bears would probably have looked for an upgrade at left tackle even before Jones’ injury. Now, it’s all but a certainty.
The first 2025 NFL Draft prospect who comes to mind as a Bears first-round target is LSU left tackle Will Campbell. He’s projected to be a top-10 pick and is in the mix to be the first offensive lineman drafted. While some NFL draft analysts think his best fit is as an interior player, his experience at left tackle, as well as his positional versatility in the pros, makes him a no-brainer target for Poles.
