TJ Watt signs massive contract extension with Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers and star edge rusher TJ Watt agreed to terms on a massive three-year, $123 million contract extension on Thursday, according to multiple NFL insider reports.
Watt has long been demanding a new deal and was the focus of trade speculation in recent weeks, but cooler heads prevailed.
The certain first-ballot Hall of Famer has 30.5 sacks over the last two seasons and 108 over his eight-year career.
The Chicago Bears were considered a long shot potential trade parter had TJ Watt been made available. Now, any dream of that reality coming true is over.
