Training Camp Quick Hits: Bears’ Jaylon Johnson OUT, Colston Loveland IN
The Chicago Bears provided some significant updates on the health status of several key players on Tuesday, including cornerback Jaylon Johnson, who GM Ryan Poles said will miss several weeks with a leg injury that he suffered during offseason training.
Johnson will remain on the non-football injury list for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, left tackle Braxton Jones is good to go and will avoid the physically unable to perform list. He’ll undergo a ramp-up period as he returns to football activities.
The same goes for rookie first-round pick Colston Loveland, who missed the entire offseason workout program while he recovered from shoulder surgery. He, too, is ready to go and, like Jones, will have a ramp-up period.

Bears make two roster moves
The Chicago Bears signed two veteran defenders: cornerback Tre Flowers and defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon.
Flowers’ addition is likely the result of Johnson being out of action for a while. Kpassagnon adds another potential depth option who has experience in defensive coordinator Dennis Allen’s system.
The Bears released defensive back Alex Cook and defensive lineman Jereme Robinson.
