WATCH: Caleb Williams throws nasty pass to Colston Loveland at training camp
It’s a shame that the coverage of Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams isn’t consistent, isn’t it?
Social media gets flooded whenever Williams, the 2024 first overall pick, makes a bad throw or tosses a boneheaded interception at training camp. It’s red meat for the starving talking heads. And for as frustrating as that is, it’d at least be tolerable if there was a similar reaction to his eye-popping throws, like the one he had at Thursday’s practice.
Check it out:
And, yes, the dude at the other end of Williams’ throw was Bears’ first-round pick, Colston Loveland.
Call it a hunch, but I think we’ll see a lot of reps like this one once the regular season rolls around.
Let this highlight be a reminder for Chicago Bears fans that there are plenty of plays like this that don’t get reported, or shared, or complimented. And they should. But we’ll have to wait until the regular season before the big media outlets have no choice but to replay Caleb Williams’ highlights, assuming there are plenty of them in coach Ben Johnson’s offense.
For the sake of Bears Nation, there better be.
