Ben Johnson rips Bears’ practice habits
Chicago Bears head coach isn’t thrilled with the way his team is practicing, and the game-day results are proving him right so far.
Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson is not thrilled with the way his team is practicing so far this season.
Johnson’s team hasn’t looked great on game day to start the 2025 season, losing each of their first two games, both to NFC North opponents. But the first-year head coach is quick to point to the Bears’ practice habits as a primary culprit in their failure to put a winning product on the field:
If a team’s performance on game day is indeed a reflection of how they practice, it’s clear the Bears have plenty to fix in terms of how they approach their preparations throughout the week.
Expectations were high heading into this season that Johnson could turn the Bears into a contender, but it’s clear he still has plenty of work cut out for him. There’s plenty of talent in the Chicago locker room, but it takes time for everything to come together under a new coaching staff.
Maybe once the practice habits reach the standard Johnson expects of a championship franchise, the game day results will follow, and the Bears will finally be able to contend for a division title and a deep postseason run as a result.
