WATCH: D’Andre Swift’s hilarious reaction to Bears’ flea-flicker TD
Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift admits he almost ruined the biggest play of Sunday’s dominant win over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Chicago Bears created plenty of highlights during Sunday’s epic home win over the Dallas Cowboys, but the best of the bunch was Caleb Williams launching a flea-flicker touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III.
The play started with a hand-off to running back D’Andre Swift, who then tossed the ball back to Williams for the eventual downfield rocket to Burden, but Swift put a little too much air under the ball, almost ruining the entire play before it even got started.
After the play, Swift admitted he almost tanked everything with his pitch that looked like it belonged on the hardwood instead of the gridiron:
All’s well that ends well, and thankfully for Swift and the Bears, Williams still had enough time to collect the toss and fire the ball downfield to a wide-open Burden, who did the rest to get into the end zone.
You can bet that if Swift is called upon to make the same play again, though, he’ll be sure to get the ball to Williams more quickly.
