Bears Week 4 injury report: Key starters miss practice Wednesday
See who missed Wednesday’s practice as the Chicago Bears prepare for a Week 4 road matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Chicago Bears have released the first injury report for Week 4, and there are plenty of big names who are out of commission for the time being.
Five players were unable to participate in Wednesday’s practice, including four starters: Right tackle Darnell Wright (elbow), defensive lineman Grady Jarrett (knee), defensive back Kyler Gordon (hamstring), and linebacker T.J. Edwards hamstring.
Tight end Colston Loveland, the Bears’ top-10 pick in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft, also missed practice Wednesday with a hip injury.
Here’s the official list from the team, which includes three more players who were limited Wednesday:
Losing Wright would obviously be a bad development for Caleb Williams and the offense this week, but losing that many starters on defense in the same week would test Chicago’s depth at every level on that side of the ball. At least with Loveland’s injury, the Bears already have one reliable presence at tight end in veteran Cole Kmet, as well as plenty of other weapons for Williams to target in the passing game.
Here’s hoping some of these players are able to work their way back onto the practice field and suit up for this week’s road trip to face the Las Vegas Raiders.
