Bears legend grades 2025 team through first 7 games
See what this Chicago Bears legend thinks about how the 2025 team has performed through the first seven games of the season.
The Chicago Bears have had some ups and downs through the first seven games of the season, but they’re sitting with a 4-3 record, and a chance to make a postseason run if they can string together more victories down the stretch.
One franchise legend who knows what winning football looks like in Chicago is Olin Kreutz, who earned six Pro Bowl nods over his 13 seasons playing center for the Bears.
Kreutz recently appeared on “The Kay Adams Show,” and was asked to hand out some grades for the 2025 team through the early going of this season:
It’s hard to argue with any of these assessments, and we’re particularly trusting of Kreutz’s opinion on the Bears’ current offensive line, given his experience with that unit.
We’ll have to see how many of these units, players and coaches can improve their grades by the time the regular season comes to a close. If they can, the Bears might just find their way into the playoffs in their first campaign under new head coach Ben Johnson.

I think Ben Johnson deserves a better grade than a C. He’s slowly but surely developing the offense in his vision. I think that warrants a B.
